First exchange!

From: drlith (drlith@hotmail.com) | Date: 2003-11-05 16:53:22 UTC
I know to all you oldbies this may not be exciting news, but I got
my first exchange yesterday when we ran into the Mobots looking for
the latest plants by the GirlGuides. On a Tuesday afternoon, to
boot, which is probably not the biggest day for boxacious activities.

By the way, I think I deserve some sort of prize for
multitasking....I was, on this little excursion: (1) getting the
kids out for a bike ride; (2) getting the dog out for her walk; (3)
getting in my own daily 3-mile jog (brings new meaning to "running
around after the kids," which all moms do!); and (4) letterboxing!

Cheers,
La Chola

It was only our second, and our first were friends of ours that we introduced to letterboxing. We have run into other people, but we're shy (honestly).

have a good day. it was nice meeting you and your kids!

We're not oldbies, but I don't think we're exactly newbies either.
Maybe in-betweenies? LOL
Anyway, we've only been boxing since this July and have only had two
on-trail exchanges. The rest were at a gathering. We were extremely
excited about our first exchange though. All of us were as giddy as
teenagers at an Elvis concert. LOL We can relate to your
excitement. :)
Congratulations on your first exchange and here's to many more!
Keep on boxin',

That is exciting. We made our first exchange in Sept. and spent a
wonderful evening chatting and getting to know a really nice fellow
boxer. While we're not exactly newbies, or oldbies, we're sometimes
known as "antiquies" to our son! :-))

This is so exciting. We have never brokered an exchange. We feel like yentas!
Hopefully someday we'll run into you two on the trail.
By the way, we're going to be planting a new series very soon. So watch for the
announcement for Turkey Trot.
